  • A client recently called us because they were “in a bind and they knew TMI Sales could make it happen”.  Specifically, they had 27 pallets to ship to 26 Wal-Mart locations all across the U.S., and although it was Thursday, they needed quotes ASAP and promises that the loads could be picked up the following day, Friday.  Furthermore every pallet had to be delivered in only three business days without any exorbitant rush or air freight fees.

    The TMI Sales team sprang  into action and got all of the shipments organized and quoted in a matter of hours.  Then, using a combination of zone skipping and consolidation techniques, and utilizing the weekend for travel to key distribution points, 100% of the pallets were delivered on time or ahead of schedule.  It was a perfect example of combining an extensive network of qualified carriers in all areas of the U.S., with the years of experience and the expertise to create and manage an unplanned consolidation and distribution operation on the fly.

    TMI Sales once helped a client delight their customer by arranging and managing every detail in making this happen half way around the world. All customs details and documents were handled, airfreight was arranged, and the necessary local pick up and delivery trucks were right where they were supposed to be.  The entire process including all customs took only five days, and TMI Sales allowed our customer to focus on their core business while the TMI Team handled every detail and gave the client constant proactive updates as the shipment traveled over 4,800 miles.

  • TMI Sales has shipped over 250,000  single-cup coffee makers to retailers all over the U.S. and Canada.  We started working with the company that pioneered this product over 5 years ago, managing only a few small shipments per week.   We now oversee shipment volumes ranging from 50 to 75 per week, managing every aspect from arranging pick-up times, to managing the carrier’s performance and transits, and making all necessary delivery arrangements.   Activity and shipment status reports are provided daily which gives the client a snapshot on the progress of their orders, and allows their accounting team to accrue freight charges accurately.    When we asked the client, what is the number one reason they work with us, they simply said, “because you do a great job, and I know if you have it then I don’t have to worry about anything”.
